Yep, gigantic step and it's good to be scared as at least you are considering some of the What If and certainly be a lot of planning involved for a lot of issues - in addition to resources of small business associations and some gov. departments, I'd see if you can find someone who is doing something similar so as to get greater insight - never know, they might just be looking to expand.
