I am not sure why you make the distinction "medical transcriber". So I believe what you are talking about is taking a voice recording and transcribing the text.

Since it is a fairly easy, but time consuming task, I would expect the industry to be very competitive and rates of pay very low. I have seen Indian writers producing original (but not great) articles for a $1 a piece.

As to whether this work is available in Australia, I really can't answer. We do have minimum wage levels in Australia. Medical administrators are reasonably well paid I believe and more than likely they would have various duties, like making appointments, assisting with doctor's administrative work and transcription work would only be a small part of their job.

I also doubt that these kinds of jobs would be open to foreign nationals to get visa sponsorship, if that is what you are after.
