Yep, colour scheme looks great Mike, should we say more of the golden sunrise onto golden shores than a setting sun.
Perhaps the underlying image which I can't quite make out if it is intended to be something could be enhanced (using full width) to have a bluish tinge on the right(east) with Opera House drifting towards a centre red for the rock followed by kangaroos and emus on desert plains and with perhaps a camel or two for cable beach.
You could entwine some crocs for the top edge and have some cockies along the bottom all done in aboriginal art style.

Thanks for the advice. I agree. It definitely needs something with a slightly more Australian flavour.

I think the colors are Australian, warm and sunny with some red rock in there.
