Exclamation AU Trucking Forums

Site Administrator,

Hello I am a web admin over here in the states. I am also a Trucking company owner. The site I run over in the states is dedicated to UNITY within the TRUCKING Community.

I've searched and Searched for a AU based TRUCKING FORUM but really couldnt find one.

Could ( YOU ) please Add a forum here, and start taking uniting the Trucking Industry in AU?

As far as I know there really are NO TRUCKING forums for the DRIVERS to goto to communicate over there ( DOWN UNDER ).

I know this is an ODD request but the TRUCKING industry is in trouble.
MANY thousands of drivers AROUND the world are loosing EVERYTHING they own because they can NOT keep running the trucks with FUEL prices going up, and up daily.

Everyday COMMON people like yourself ALSO needs to stand beside the Truckers in AU, and FIGHT for your Rights and stand tall for cheaper OIL and the costs of living.

I will be glad to give you more information if you wish.
Im not here SPAMMING, Im trying to UNITE PEOPLE!

All the best,
OverTime / Matthew

Hi Matthew and welcome to the forum, your comment likewise.
Australia and the USA share quite a few similarities in both relying on extensive road transport industries and the fuel price increases are hurting the industry and public alike.

Here in Australia, our pricing is substantially higher than the US courtesy of world parity pricing, fuel prices being linked to Singapore market crude barrel pricing. And that being despite a considerable % of Australian crude sources, then on top of that situation which must have Australian producers smiling all the way to the bank, the government gets in for its double whammy cop of an excise of something like 38 cents a litre of petrol and then of course there is the 10% GST on full retail price.

So no small wonder that Australians also feel strongly that the government needs to review pricing or that part under their control.
What is outside their control is not going to get any better given the auto developments occurring in China, India and a host of other populous countries al clamouring for limited supplies.

If that is not bad enough, our Labour government is hell bent on a Carbon Trading Scheme, and that is just going to be another tax, all well intentioned towards global warming reduction but do you think countries like China, India, Pakistan and Indonesia to mention a few are going to operate on a level playing field?

It sort of seems in some respects that gloom and doom is developing at a forever increasing pace.

But to your request, an Australian Transport Forum you may want to look at could be ozprodrivers Australia's No1 Transport Website

Meanwhile, all the best to transport drivers of the US and the globe generally.
