Mandura?

Hi everybody,
we are planning to move to Oz in a few years so a reresearching like mad to make sure we find the right place. Unfortunately everywhere looks great online and its really hard to find any specfic info on individual towns. My husband is liking Queensland but I quite like the sound of perth. We have two children who will be 8/10 years so want somewhere family friendly. Mandura seems to tick all the boxes but I was hoping someone could give me some more info on the place, i.e; what is employment like, schools ect..
Any info would be great-or suggestions on where to live!

I haven't been to Mandura (or Perth) but it sounds like a nice coastal town. I don't think there would be a lot of jobs around though.

You might want to take a look at this thread, discussing the best place to live in Australia.

mandura

Have a look on google earth , Last time i was in mandura it was more a deserted beach area where fishermen went , Fantastic surf and beaches but not many people .
That was 1994 so it may have a bigger population now . also do searches like type into your search bar population of mandura , or whatever. fotos on mandura,
Also , perth is nice but its so far from any where , the most popular cities are the east , bris sydnet , melb ,
my brother brought his kids up in adelaide and sed it was a great kids place , Adelaides considered a big country town .
Sydneys the ratrace , brisbanes the last to become the trendy type place but still a bigger country town
Melbourne is "the most liveable" 53 nationalities , very cosmopolitain , I was there 12 years but the winters got me with the cold wind comng straight down from the snowfields. only 2 cities I know do that , wellington in NZ and melb.

I guess it all depends what your hubby does for a living too,
I heading back to oz in a few weeks to live just south of the QLD border , 10k south of gold coast , surfers paradise. in the Tweed heads area, northern NSW, its a mix of hippies , wannabe hippies, New agers, alternative lifstylers, organic gardners. well to do biz people who got sick of the city. lots of 5 and 10 acre blocks aswell as the normal blocks.
anyway , foosd for thought.

Been quite a bit of development occurring about Mandurah for the past decade and no longer a sleepy holiday spot at all.

No knowledgeof what exact population would be or numbers of schools etc. but I doubt the region will lack for much.

http://id.com.au/mandurah/forecastid...60&pg=1&bhcp=1 is one of just many sites on the area if you google.

You'd likely find that many people from there commute to Perth for work too.
