Smile New to Perth!what chance get a job?

Hi everybody...in fact its rather the fear of the unknown that is pushing me to write than interrogations. I'll arrive in Perth on the 4th July and am a university undergraduate student. I'll like to know on average how much time you people think it will take me to get a job given the actual economical state? And above all how much can I expect? Due to the 20hr p/w limit wages has become a worry for me. Then I heard lots of stuff suggesting that Perth is being saturated!!

Thanks

As you have identified yourself there can be various factors involved in job markets, and Perth/WA is not isolated from that, ie.
. Mining Industry is allegedly absorbing many people to high paying work.
. But then right now and for forseeable few months there is an energy shortage owing to a Gas supply explosion industries are being restricted.
. There is talk of flow on effects of that.
. Coupled with all, petrol prices hitting stratospheric highs and recent interest rates increases all add to people tightening their belts on spending.

Thus average time, wages, saturation are all variables too and life goes on.
You go there and find what work you can or you decide not to go!

Depends on the skills or talent that you have. If you have a diploma/masters or have finished schooling, you may be qualified for a skilled visa.

Use this foolproof system to find jobs in Perth

Finding part time work in Perth is easy once you know how. Anyone interested in part time work should go online and Google the keywords ‘part time work Perth’. Doing so will bring up many online classifieds websites and from there you can browse the 1000’s of part-time jobs by the type of work required, number of hours and what time of day to work.

In fact these online classifieds are not restricted to employees. You can write your own advertisement for work wanted and post it in the online classifieds section for free. Part time work in Perth abound because the hours are quite often during the weekend or evening when it is inconvenient for many people to work. But as with all advertisements you need to be aware that scams exist.

When the online classifieds offer you a get-rich-quick opportunity, be very wary. Never pay to be trained for a job. If someone wants you to work for them, they should be prepared to train you for free. When writing up your free ad, look on the left hand side for the appropriate links to click on. Options will pop up for you to fill in to make sure the correct information is available to prospective employees.

Finding a great part time job is very important. Finding the best part time job is not always easy, however If you use the information you have just been given and you should have no trouble finding the perfect part time job.

Getting to Australia obviously entails a number of costs, they being the initial ones of visas - Department of Immigration and Citizenship , travel and insurance depending on whether you are looking at a permanent move or something like a WHV.

Living costs when here vary with all sort of criteria just like thay can in England, but getting work itself usually has a minimal or zero cost.
