Spouse 309 since Dec '13

Hi all,

I am the sponsor and husband in this story

Married the Mrs. 2 years ago now

Applied for spouse visa in December of 13 and waiting to this day
She is National of Bosnia & Herzegovina and we applied for her visa in Vienna, Austria

CO Ingrid Svobodnikova
Vienna, Austria

Applied 12/2013
Medical 05/2014
Police Check 08/2014 (1 year expiry)
2nd Police Check 06/2015

My family migrated to Aus in 98' and have worked and lived there since,
I decided to travel and get to know my roots and heritage when I met her.

We have been living together in Bosnia & Herzegovina since.

Im missing my family, the Australian lifestyle and sun. Is anybody in a similar situation? Its just so boring here!

From my point of view, Europeans are a stuck up bunch. Even tho im from here..............

Hi GeeZa,

I see that you posted several months ago, but I only saw this post now.

I feel like we are in a very similar situation. I am the sponsor and wife of a Kosovo citizen. I am also from Kosovo but migrated to Australia in 1999 where I gained citizenship. I went back to Kosovo where I met my husband, we have been married for 2 years and I have been living there with him.

We have the same case officer as you do. We applied on May 26, 2015 and we do not have a response yet, it is almost 8 months.

Has your wife had her visa granted yet? The embassy is saying 10-14 months standard processing times but that is insane. I came back to Australia due to school and work and it is a nightmare waiting for him.

Please let me know if there was any update on your wife's visa.

Good luck!

My husband's visa was granted in April 2016 - at 11 months after application. He had done medical tests 2 months after applying, submitted Police clearance with application and was never called for an interview or contacted at all. One week before they granted him the visa they contacted us saying it was being finalized and they needed a new police clearance - sent it on Friday and on Monday we received the Grant notification letter.

I contacted my husband's case officer several times during our 11 month wait period, a month before it was granted I sent her additional evidence to show that our relationship had been continuing since our circumstances had changed, I had come back to Australia and he was waiting back in Kosovo.

Good luck with your application and let me know if you have any questions.
