Form 80??

So I've been reading through the forums and I just saw that Form 80 is a requirement? Is this for all migration applicants or just de facto? I'd like to be able to send everything at once so I can have a decision ready app but this form is crazy. I have no idea when I worked at all of my jobs since school and they certainly don't have records from when I worked at places like McDonald's or Taco Bell.

So is this a mandatory thing? The last time I spoke with someone at the Aussie Embassy for the US they said only forms 40SP and 47SP but I'm reading differently.

My partner is applying for a prospective marriage visa from Brazil and she was asked to complete the Form 80 after her medical and police checks were cleared. After submitting form 80 she was told they didn't require any additional information and she should get her visa in November (applied in May).

We were annoyed that they didn't ask for everything up-front. It has added a few extra weeks to our waiting time.

Well, I would be applying for a spouse visa. I've been married to my Aussie hubby for 6 years but I'm not sure if I would need to provide a completed Form 80, too.

The Form 80 is not an upfront necessity like the forms 40SP and 47SP, unless it is listed on the relevant checklist from your relevant Embassy / Commission. The requirement for it seems to be at the discretion of the CO and based on whether you are from a high risk country or not. As you are from the US, I seriously doubt whether you will need to complete the Form 80.

For all those applying for a partner visa onshore, although they do not put Form 80 in the checklist - once you apply they'll give you a letter saying that they have received your application. In that letter they will ask you to fill in Form 80 ASAP.

So, because I'm applying offshore, I probably won't need it or should I send one just in case? I'd like the visa to be 100% completed if at all possible.

Hi - We applied for RSMS visa in July and got an email requesting Form 80 at beginning of September. Both of us had to fill it in (even though it is my husbands visa) and we are from the UK (low risk). To be honest we hadn't really heard of the form until then and thought we'd done it all - it was a bit of a surprise and added on a few extra weeks to our application. If you want my advice...fill it in now!!

I really don't know the offshore procedure, but what harm could it do to send it in ? I would send it in unless I was 100% that they didn't want it. I'd feel the same as you, I'd send it in - but if you do find out that they don't want it, let us know !

Alright I will! But I don't know how to find out the exact dates that I worked at all of my jobs.

And I can't send in my application yet because I'm waiting until I go to my previous home state to get police clearance so I can send it all in. I guess I have some phone calls to make lol.
