hi thanks to you realman2011, actually i already made a move to apply police clearance in uae and its really such a pain. I ask one of my friend there to do it for me. I really dont want to bother her bcoz she got a busy work also. First she applied in Sharjah after waiting for 1 week they are telling her to go to Abu dhabi which is really far from where she is now. Now i have to wait again for another week for her to get there.I really hate waiting here and do nothing for that clearance and need send money again there for her transport and additional fee for the clearance (sigh) well till now i haven't heard any yet from CO..almost 2 months ago. by the way, i work in UAE for 4 years.

She wont be able to get it by her self... where are you currently? u need to have ur finger prints taken, authenticated by foreign trade, legalized by UAE embassy and sent to abudhabi police with application form, passport and residency copies, fees and pictures. If your residency was from dubai then u need to send it to dubai police .

yes i lived there for 10 years... you have to personally post it to abudhabi criminal investigation unite, abu dhabi police head quarters. it takes about 3-4 weeks for them to send it back! dont forget to include self addressed envelop and and international coupons ...
