Hi there i wonder if anyone can help me.

im currently in Australia on a prospective marraige visa and i wondered if anyone can tell me if i can extend this as my mum is going in for an operation around the time of our wedding and wouldnt be able to attend, our visa expires on the 21st May 2012. and we would like to move it a couple of months into july so my family could attend.
Or
does anyone know if the visa can be changed to a defacto visa?

As my understanding so far, PMV - 9 months visa and cannot be extended. Anyway, I suggest you call and check with DIAC for any compelling circumstance that can be applied. Hope your mum get well soon.
