First I want to say thanks to all the people who share info on this forum, its been a big help reading up on the visa process!
I'm at the end stage of my visa now, just did the medical this week. I always get nervous at doctor visits and always have high blood pressure readings, even getting it taken at the chemist gets me worked up, I went to a basic health check blood sugar and cholesterol levels were fine. I am about 12 kilos over weight and am working on losing it but as that may be a factor in blood pressure I went to my GP, she recommended a 24 blood pressure monitor and it turns out my blood pressure is normal.
Of course I had a really high reading at the visa medical so I had to take a creatinine blood test to see if I have kidney problems. I did provide the panel doctor the report from my doctor stating my blood pressure is usually normal. Now I'm worried I might have kidney problems as you can have kidney disease with no symptoms. I know you can be denied a visa if its a significant cost like needing dialysis or kidney implant but if I just have early stage kidney disease will that be considered too risky for me to stay?
I requested a copy of my results from the pathology lab and will at least be able to see them sometime next week, trying not to worry too much but hard not to think about it! Has anyone been in a similar situation?
Cheers.
