dual nationality names conundrum

Hello people, my American husband and I are preparing an application for residency. we were married in australia and I used my maiden's name ( identity proof Belgian passport) as my man did not like me using my ex husband's name. All my papers in OZ are under that exmarried name, including my passport, citizenship certificate etc.
Anyone knows the best way to deal with this, or how to prove that those two names belong to the same person?

With thanks,

TF

Hi Twinflame -

Best way likely is for you to officially change your name in the country you reside in now (Australia? America?) - you may need to list both previous names (maiden name, name when previously married) but you'll end up with an official change of name certificate to your new name, which is what DIAC (Australian immigration) needs to match up the names on your various documents.

Please advise if I can assist any further -

Best,

Thanks for that.. I do not want to change my name though, as it has become a bit of a brand name in Australia. What about a stat dec signed by a notary to establish that both names are the one and same person?
