quick relationship statement query

My husband and I have just finished our statements for our 309/100 visa. Do we have to get them witnessed? The guidance seemed a bit ambiguous. Also are colour scans of passport pages etc ok if they're not certified? Thanks all!

When I did mine for my 820/801 application I just typed it out, and at the end typed my name and signed my name. Didn't get them witnessed and I got my visa. I think all they're looking for with these are just a bit of a write up to support the other documents you provide and to get a better picture of who you are and what your relationship is like.

We just uploaded color scans of our passports. As for the statement, I didn't even bother signing my pdf.
