Exclamation Stat Decs

hey so my partner and I are currently living abroad in Canada (his home country) and have progressed to stage two of defacto VISA... we applied onshore and they are aware we are living here for another year...
Anyways the question is we now have to get two more StatDecs from Australian citizens who can fill out the form about our relationship... but what if we dont know anyone from Australia here? or people who have only known us for about 6-7 months??

Ive tried looking online, and its too expensive to be on hold for such long periods from over here to immigration

Does any body know if there are exceptions or even if the people who have known us for this short time who are Australian can do it???

Cheers

Have you got any friends or family in Australia who you regularly talk to on Skype or who see you both together regularly? You can still get them to right a stat dec saying something along the lines of "I am aware that x and y are currently living together in Canada and I speak to them on a regular basis... I believe their relationship is genuine and continuing and look forward to seeing them again in x month of x year when they return to Australia"

The other thing you should note is that calls from Canada to Australia are only about 1c per minute if you use Skype or another VoIP provider, the call quality is really good too. If you have a smartphone there's plenty of apps - just try to use a WiFi connection when you make the call to Immigration.

At the same time it is probably worth getting a stat dec from one of the Aussies that know you in Canada, even if it has only been 6-7 months.

that kindve doesnt answer the question... im asking if it allowed... I know i have the option to get people I know from Australia to send me stat decs but that takes time and i do use skype..
but I am wondering if anyone knows if it ok/legal/acceptable to use someone from Australia who is living in Canaada, and if so what is the minimum they have to have known us for...

Why would it not be okay to use Australians living in Canada? An Australian citizen is a citizen regardless of where they are currently living. And I've never heard of a minimum amount of time someone had to know you to provide a stat dec. If you want to be positive, you can always contact DIAC or a migration agent. These are not questions asked frequently here.
