Question for De Facto Partner Visa. Help needed

Hi everyone,

I have started reading this forum because I want to apply for a partner visa with my Australian partner. I find the posts really helpful so I hope that you could also help with our case.

I am currently living in the UK and my partner is in Australia. We got together in February 2010 and in March 2013 he went to Australia. We continued the relationship but since I was still studying in Greece I could not follow him and we ended it after a year. We kept in touch and we got back together in March 2016. Since then he came to London once and he stayed with me for 4 weeks and I went to Australia for 3 weeks to visit him in December.

We have plenty of photos together as well as tickets from our two last trips and record from our communication. We have also opened a joint account in Australia.

Would this evidence be enough to prove a de facto relationship? Will it make a difference if we apply for the visa onshore or offshore?

We would really appreciate any advice.

Thanks,

Kelly

No.

There are distinct differences.

From what you have posted, it looks as if you probably have a viable visa strategy, possibly more than one.

May I suggest that you consult a registered migration agent for advice about developing a visa strategy?
