Hi philaus,

All visas run a risk of being denied if the applicant does not meet the criteria, and in the case of spouse or prospective souse visas, if they suspect the relationship is contrived or not genuine enough.

How this is determined is part of the criteria, but there may be other factors that immigration officers go on to judge the genuineness of a relationship, some of which could be assessed during a face to face interview.

In short, if you meet the criteria and are a genuine couple, then there is no need to worry Are you worried about something in particular in regard to your situation??

Thanks aussiegirl for the quick response. Well I'm not worried about if our relationship is genuine cause I know it is genuine and it is really love. I'm just worried about the medicals I dont have anything contagious just some hormones are not balance and not having updates of how the process is going not having an idea of where we are in the process just really kills me. As much as possible I dont want to email the CO to ask so now I am waiting for her email again.

Is there anyone here who has a medical problem before they lodge their application. I have a thyroid problem on remission now for almost a year, it just basically speeds up my metabolism and also need monitoring every 3months. Is this a cause of visa deny? I have submitted a medical certificate along with my medicals from my private physician. I am really worried about this and I havent got any news from the case officer eversince I submitted the additional documents she was asking.

There are so many different medical conditions that people can have that no two you'll get information of on a forum are going to be alike when you consider the number of countries that can be involved.

Basically, a MOC makes a recommendation where needed on reports re the life time possibilities and as far as I'me aware the reports are sent on to medical authorities in Australia for review and it'll probably be they who make a file note re any further details being sought and a CO following up to refer additional info back to the medical people.
So it is all something that takes time and not necessarily something to be concerned about with known conditions but an MOC overseas is not going to make a thorough examination themselves of any condition but merely report on it and then it'll be a natural occurrence for more info to be sought; just the way of the system.
