I think if you exlpain what happened to the pictures in a legal statement i.e. statutory declaration, DIAC should accept that as a valid reason as to why you don't have pictures. Does anyone else have any pictures of you and your husband together, maybe guests at the wedding?

If your husband is still on a student visa and you were not originally mentioned on his visa as a dependant, I think you'll find that you are not eligible to now join him as a dependant.
On the link Ag provided, you'll see a note:
Important: You must declare all family members on your application, even if they do not plan to travel with you to Australia. If you do not do this, your family members will not be eligible to apply to join you after you have started your course in Australia.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have my Engagement Pictures & My Sister -In - Law Marriage Pictures. So Can i use these Pictures in My Case?

Thanks & Regards,
Doll_Ratta
Photos can be used to support an application but they are of limited value compared to documentation but none will be of any value if you are not eligible, as in if your husband is still on a student visa and you were not listed as a dependant.
