Can you please tell us how much time these days PhD visas are taking at worst. We are around 10-12 guys who are waiting for PhD visa (all with full scholarship) since 7 months to 1 year. What do you think is the reason of such long delays in processing PhD visas by DIBP? All the guys have previously traveled to other countries as well and have good immigration history as well. Is there something specifically wrong with PhD visas like some law by which Australia does not want any PhD researchers in their country?
I saw your previous posts, you used to say PhD visas can take 6 months. But this group of 10-12 people are all well above that period. What do you think could be the reason? Your experience and advice would be highly appreciated.
