Some changes here

With upgrade of the software I have decided to disable a couple of the features that were added to the site and at least with the gallery it is now part of the vbulletin forum software which the site uses.

The classified ad component wasn't working out too well and seemed to only attract iphone spammers. Instead I have added a new forum category for people to post ads in. I have to stress though, it is for non-commercial, non-spam ads.

The forum now has a gallery feature already inbuilt and people can upload pictures to their profile.

If you click on a users name now, you can see a few more features like being able to leave a public message to that person. Kind of like Facebook's wall feature.

Any problems or questions, please let me know.

Mike,
Gradually getting used to new colours but they leave a bit to be desired re noticing a few things or maybe it's just that I've been using an older laptop of late.

But one thing for sure, links are not really showing up all that well and then only lightly highlighted with cursor scrolling over - many of them could be missed!

Cheers,

Wanderer, thanks for the feedback. I will see what I can do. I know it is always difficult to get used to new designs, especially on forums.

I would be happy to keep everything the way it is or was, but with the hackers and spammers in this world, it is a constant battle to keep everything up to date.

I originally had a company create the design for the site, which I personally liked. The problem is that you then need to keep going back to them to update the design to incorporate the new features of the forum. Even if you don't want the new stuff, there is no way to avoid it!

At least with the free themes that are popular, the developers do keep them up to date.
