Hi! Have you heard anything about your visa yet? My partner and I applied on 6 Sep 2016 and there's still no news on ours.

When we lodged they said 6-9 months. But apparently recently changed the processing time to 9-14 months!

I'm trying to figure out if I should start stressing yet. This feels like it's taking forever!

If anyone applied in Sept 2016, please let me know if you've received your visa yet.

As per the Department's website, preparing time is around 5-8 months. We surmise this is a truly decent gauge of current handling times. Be that as it may, this is only a sign of current normal preparing times. The Department's handling time can be any longer.

As a component of the application, your sponsor makes the dedication that the designated position will be accessible for a long time on a full-time premise from the date of visa endorsement. Likewise, the terms and states of your business can't reject the likelihood of you broadening your work past the underlying 2 years.

Does any one know after lodging to 186, how long does it take to get bridging visa. My husband will apply for 186 for our whole family in Jan 4th 2018, I expect our baby in 17 Jan 2018 then it;s a bit complicated for the baby if he is born during the the bridging visa, then I don't know what kind of visa he might have. I also have a son of 8 years old then Iam not sure when the school year starts, he can go to school free or we have to pay a fee during bridging visa?

You can check your visa status just under where it says your name on the first page you arrive at once logged in.

Most likely it will say 'received' or 'case officer assigned'

186 Processing time

Hi There,

I have applied for the 186 Temporary Residence Transition stream in December 2016 and now 31 Jan 2018 (13 months later) I still haven't heard anything back from them.

Is anyone aware of the processing time and if there is anything I can do?

It is supposed to take from 8 up to 10 months to be processed, but now that 13 months has been past I'm starting to get quite worried about it.

Thank you!
