Update passport offshore while on bridging visa B

HI all,

I have several questions regarding passport information and travelling issues.

Visa situation:
Currently on bridging visa A (BVA) waiting for graduate visa 485 application. Will be applying for bridging visa B (BVB) as I need to travel back home (outside Australia) end of March for family stuff. I plan to travel for minumum 2 weeks, maximum 1 month. Processing time for 485 varies between 4-5 months. I sitll have another 3+ months waiting period.

Passport situation:
Expiring in July 2020, i.e. less than 6-month validity. It valid for more than 6 months (barely 7-months) at the time I put in my 485 application. I wasnt able to renew my passport before I put in my application as my country's consulate doesnt offer passport renewal for holders of substantive visa less than 6 month vailidity.

Intial plan was to wait until 485 is finalised and renew my passport onshore. My passport would still be valid around those time. I was not planing to travel before my application is finalised but life happens. At this stage, I cannot renew my passport onshore, as my country's consulate doesnt offer passport renewal for bridging visa holders, or holders of substantive visa less than 6 month vailidity :-(

Issues:
1) I need to renew my passport offshore during the visit as I can't leave my country with passpost less than 6-month validity.

2) BVB has a fixed travel period so need to make sure to return to Australia before it expires.

3) The passport information needs to be finilased wihtin my BVB validity so that I wont have any travelling issues.

Question:

1) My application for graduate visa 485 is still under process, can I renew my passport offshore while holding a BVB?

2) Would there be any issue for my graduate visa 485 application if I renew my passport offshore while holding a BVB?

3) I've read online that the passport update process takes about 2 weeks (thru immi account). Does this apply to bridging visas too or just the substantive visas?

4) When I update my passport information, do I need to do a separate process for my BVB and for my graduate visa 485 application?

I hope kind netizens could help to ease my worry :-)
