Came to Melbourne on a WHV to be with my partner on December 29th 2012, we have been living together for 12 months as a the requirement for the partner visa. We submitted our application at the Melbourne processing centre. Over the numerous times of contacting the immigration \"helpline\" we found they were pretty useless and abrupt, we were given different and misleading information regarding the same question we asked in one day (we phoned them three times in the space of two hours and spoke to three different people who gave us three different answers), so be wary of this and make sure you get their name and date when you spoke to them for future reference, just in case someone tells you different.
