Berlin Office - Partner Visa 309/100

Has anyone applied for a partner visa at the Berlin office??
I have just done medicals and will be sending police certificates next week.

How long does it usually take to approve the visa from this stage?
Is a phone interview required?
How will I be notified? Email? Letter?

I applied in Berlin on the 11th of nov 2013, I have done medicals and got my CO. there is a thread dedicated to all us who is applying in Berlin and according to that it seems like it takes around 6 months with approvals. I think we get notified by email.
And I don't think it is so common with interviews but my friend who just got his visa, had an interview just a couple of days before approval.

Thanks for the helpful information, let me know how you go. I sent off medicals and police reports nearly 2 months ago and still waiting for a reply. Its coming up to 5 months from when I sent the application.
Fingers crossed!

I called The ESC and they said a CO has been assigned. Not sure the name though.
What nationality is your friend who had the interview? Was it a phone interview?
Serbia is a high risk country so I imagine it may be a different process, im not sure. Where are you from?

When trying to contact our CO regarding our plans to visit Australia while our partnership visa is being processed we learned that she is no longer employed in the Berlin office. We followed this up and asked to be told who our new case officer is and the response was that nobody has been allocated. This process is so, so frustrating! How can we have lost our CO after 8 months?! We are now scared about visiting Australia on the tourist visa, despite our previous CO telling us that this would not be a problem.
