Bricklaying advice

Just after some info from anyone that can help please. Me my partner and our 5 children will hopefully be moving to Perth next year sometime. We have just started our permanent visa process. My partner ken is a bricklayer and has 14 years experience. we were just wondering how easy it is finding work in Perth and roughly how much is the average wage for a bricklayer?? I've had a look on the seek website so have a general idea but it would be nice to have some more detailed information off someone. Any advice about our move to Perth would be gratefully received. We are thinking of the maylands area but don't know where to start on looking for schools and childcare
