Hi blessed, you may not be receiving any replies to your query because this question has been asked very very many times on the forum. Please search the emails for your topic and read what has already been written and advised. In my opinion, (1) you may combine a PMV and a tourist visa but there are risks involved (which you will read on the threads); (2) best that you do NOT resign from your job because I'm not sure if your filing for a PMV will be the sole basis of your CO that you will be coming back; (3) do keep your CO or the DIAC informed of your whereabouts. Some COs are considerate enough to let you know that your PMV grant is on the verge of approval so that you can go back to the Phils., in the event that you are on visitor visa in Aus. I'm not sure though if they are all like that. Good luck.
