    Hi -

I would report this to DIAC as soon as you have the new birth certificate - especially as you have a CO assigned.

    Best,

The application was filled out in her Married Name, but in the ACT you can't just show your Birth Certificate at drivers license department etc. and use your married name, you actually have to do a name change on your Birth Certificate. This is for foreign marriages.

    Hi Bradster -

What stage is your processing at - CO assigned yet? when did you lodge? Generally it's best to report any significant changes to DIAC ASAP rather than waiting.

    Best,

    Mark

My Wife and I Married in the United States.
    She resides in the ACT

In Order to take my name she had to do a Change of Name on her birth certificate, She will receive her new birth certificate on Monday.

Will we have to update the case immediately or should we just wait until a case officer requests the info.
