I also added some comments on the documents that I sent. For example, I explained that during the early part of our relationship, we talked on Friendster and Multiply which are now defunct so I have limited evidence for that time period. Another example - I explained that my phone bills were only available for some years because I was previously on a prepaid plan (so I didn't get any monthly statements).
I tried to combine the documents in one file (as long as it doesn't exceed the file limit of 5 mb, if you are applying online).
Let me know if you have any other questions. -

3. Whatsapp chat logs - I exported the chat log from my phone and I provided screenshots of selected conversations.
4. I took pictures of my phone screen for the SMS between us.
5. Emails and letters between the two of us.
6. Cards that came with the flowers that my husband sent me on special occasions.
You should not send everything you have. Otherwise, the CO will be overwhelmed. The goal is to show that you had continuing contact while you were apart. So you can just send in examples for each month. For me, since I had to cover 9 years worth of contact, I just submitted for selected months (not all months in a year), just to show a pattern of communication. So for example, I sent in something that occurred in January, April, September, December. It doesn't have to be at regular intervals. -
11-28-2016 02:59 PM - permalinkc00kiemonsterHello! Yes, I had to show contact while apart, which is the actually the whole 9 years of our relationship since we have always been on long-distance from day 1. We were only together whenever we travelled together every year.
The evidences I included in my application were:
1. In our early years, we talked a lot on Yahoo Messenger, Friendster and Multiply - so I included whatever chat logs from YM that that I was able to save. For Friendster, I looked at my e-mail which is linked to Friendster and I found email notifications from Friendster saying "XX sent you a message" or "XX posted a comment on your photo". So I sent some samples of that. For Multiply, I was able to save my old blogs somewhere and it still showed that my husband was commenting there. For Facebook, you can include FB messages, comments on photos or wall posts where you are "talking to each other"
2. My phone bills which shows the phone calls we made to each other. -
