I had a soul destroying experience when taking my Russian fiancee to OZ in late 2014 and she secretly left me in September 2015 3 months after we married and still living there . I now wish to bring another lady to OZ either as a wife or fiancee but am concerned that OZ under the so called liberals are moving in same direction as the xenophobic UK Tory party and brexitters in England . Could anyone kindly tell me if my fears are unfounded please as would be much appreciated ? . I would hate to pay the now huge visa fee and find it was dead money, especially as an "oldie" with limited opportunities to make money ( smile )

    Hi,

Can you please review my pending posts and comments that I made yesterday? I am so confused as to what happened, are they just waiting in limbo to be approved? Or should I re-write before the thread gets buried? Thanks for your help.

    Hi CG,

I need your help.. Could you kindly reply please?

My wife is from India and currently she is living in India.
I recently applied for 309 partner visa for my wife.. As the processing times are like 12 months. My wife is planning to apply for a tourist visa so that she can come and join me here in australia.
We also understand that we should notify the DIBP about any changes to the cirumstances.

I had a look at the document checklist for the 600 visa. There it is mentioned that bank statements of applicant needs to be produced.
My wife is not employed at the moment and she is dependent on me as I am sending her money and using one of my debit card.

Should I produce her bank statements or shall I produce mine saying i will sponser her everything? Asking all these as we had a previous tourist visa refusal based on her salary as it was less before marriage.

I had invited her as a friend visiting me as we were not married at that time.

    Hi CG,

I hope you can help me with my case
    1. I'm a Filipina married in the Philippines with two minor kids
    2. Separated for over 7 years but not annulled.
    3. Travel to AU on tourist in May 2014.
    4. applied for student visa while on tourist visa and was denied in Sept 2014
    5. I met a gentleman in Aug 2014 and became my bf in Sept 2014. This gentleman is now my fiance
    6. We appeal to MRT 28 days prior to leaving the country and this appeal was heard and refused in May 2015
    7. This appeal allowed us to buy time and we have lived together for 10 months
    8. I am now back in the philippines.
    9. Since I have lived in australia for a year and consider au as my home I filed a divorce before I left AU
    10. This divorce was granted on 25 Aug 2015
We are thinking of registering our relationship once my divorced certificate is received. You reckon I should wait to register our relationship prior to lodging partner visa or go ahead and lodge now then upload it on a later date?

    Hi, College girl,

This is Anna, sorry for not responding your message immediately. I phoned the Australian immigration twice regarding my issue, they said I don't need to show my intention of living in Australia permanently as my partner is an Australian citizen. I am a bit confused.

My online status has changed to assessment in progress and I am sure that they have started to assess my application.

    Thank you and best wishes

    Cheers

    Anna
