    Hi Nicki,

Not yet. Immigration required more info regarding my partners Hepatitis B. We just got results back showing she has chronic Hepatitis B and she requires some injection(s) - we are not sure what this means until the doctor visit on Thursday however we assume this means the Hep B is active.

Now we are deeply worried/depressed because it's unlikely Immigration will grant the visa with this complication.

I GOT MY VISA!! Was issued on 12th July and they posted the letter to me so only just got it today! Thank you Sydney! I'm going to have many glasses of champagne and may even have a night out on 30th July if you and your partner would like to come just let me know!

I know I saw your posts - thats amazing! You're one of the lucky ones! Maybe my application is more complicated than yours - hmmm I wonder how it all works on level 3 of the Sydney office...?? My friend handed his in in April and hasn't heard a thing - both of us have been living with our partners for less than the required 12 months but have got relationship registers - maybe that's a factor. Anyway fingers crossed! I'm hoping to have it approved in 6 months - thats what I've mentally prepared for!

    Hi Nicki !

Thanks, I wish you all the best too. It never occured to me that immigration might go sniffing around forums! So I'm a bit worried now :P But I think I'll be ok as long as my application doesn't look fishy in the first place.

Thanks for the email, I will let you know how it all goes, hell: I'll let the whole world know All the best! Sarah

Yeah cool - would be good to keep in contact with someone who has applied the same time as me - where are you based? I'm in Sydney and my name's Jenn. I thought exactly the same thing which is why I go by Furryball! That was my nickname all through uni haha!

Yes Im still waiting. I havent had any other contact from the department since they sent the letter of acknowledgement. Mine might not be the best application to gauge average waiting times as I'm from a high risk country.
