Hi Anatolian,
When we applied, the girl at the counter was unsure as to the rules too. It is not so common for 309 applicants to come in and apply, it is usually 820 applicants. You need proof of your partners Australian citizenship, details of the visa you are in Australia on, in our case an ETA, the email acknowledging your application for the 309 and your passport. I would recommend that you also point them to the immigration website, or contact immigration here and get a letter from them if they still don't know the rules.
Hi kittykat,
College girl has told me that you were able to successfully apply for a Medicare whilst waiting for your 309 to be granted. My girlfriend is in the same boat, but Medicare will not accept our application.
Any good pointers you can give to us pretty please?
Hi MR
We talked about Remaining Relatives Visas few months ago.
So let me explain to you again, Well, May 2011 I applied for a Permanent Visas.. ''Remaining Relatives'' which unfortunately I got the notification of refusal this year end of January. It have refused because they consider that I'm not that closed Family to my aunts. The subclass is only restricted to Family. I meant Father, mother and brother/sisters,
Now I want to go for STUDENT VISA, I already get the Offer got the Offers of TAFE and University, Therefor before going further i want to know, according to my past refusal, Do think that they will approve my Student Visas Application ?
If it does, how long it remain before i could apply again for any type of Visa?
I was in Australia a week before I applied and waited until I returned to the USA to get the medical done. I don't think it slowed down the application as there were no medical issues and we didn't get a case officer until a day after the medicals.
hey there,
I'm wondering why you didn't do your medical before you applied? I'm in a similar position to you (applying this July). I've already ordered police checks etc. but was going to hold off on the medical. Do you think this slowed your application?
If you could tell me your thoughts that would be great!
