    Hi Mark,

I have just finished applying for my wifes 309 visa and am now in the process of applying her visitor visa. She is from India and Im a Permanant resident of Australia since 2012.

I am writing the invitation letter in which I am sponsoring all her expenses, providing my payslips for 3 months and Tax documentation, bank statements etc to request for a 12 month visa. I have touched on our local travel plans as well.

My concern is that she has no employment history or tax documentation of her as she never worked. Is this going to be a concern for the 600 tourist visa even though we have provided our intent via Partner visa 309 TRN. We wish to live together in Australia while we await the 309 outcome, hence the main reason for the visitor 600 application.

    Thanks in advance!

    HI Mark,
I have a question related to the transition from 457 to ENS Transition Stream and the 2 years on the same position, with the same employer within Australia.
I have taken 20 days of remote work from Europe in between holidays.to allow me to spend more time with Family. Would this be a problem when applying for ENS because of the following:the employment in the position has been full-time, and undertaken in Australia ? All the entitlements I was allowed by my employer were fully paid, I never took unpaid leave. It is my understanding that short term business trips are allowed and still count towards the 2 year count. Thank you for your help.

    Hello Mark,
I was directed to you by a kind member A&M who had a similar question.

I would greatly appreciate if you are able to give me a quick answer. I do not want to waste your time.Respects and Thanks in advance for any expert help in this matter

The travel authority on my PR expired 2 months ago. I applied for a Resident Return visa(RRV) 2 weeks ago. Still awaiting response. My travel dates are not very far (20th October) and I am away for 3 weeks. My question is : could I leave the country before my RRV is granted, without affecting my PR?What is your expert opinion

I have sponsored for my wife and child's PR. Awaiting on that too. I do not want to ruin everything that I have worked this hard for.

Much appreciate your time and help with this question.

    Good morning Mark,
I need your guidance please. Im on a student visa at the moment that lasts until april 2019. I want to apply for the 820 with my partner who is australian. I was told by one agent to cancel my current student visa and re-apply for a new one that would only cover me until february 2018, when my actual course ends (the next one starts march 2018 until march 2019)
And then in feb 2018 apply for the 820 however I heard that would be risky and not smart. Is there any option for me not to be attached to my current student visa until april 2019 ? I have only been living together with my partner for 3 months, we have joint accounts and our relationship is registered, if that is relevant at all. Thanks for reading Mark !

    Hi Mark...
    Please help.
I am already with the visa 485 and trying to add my wife in this visa.
I already have all the documents but we don't know how to fill the form 1409.
We know that only sections A, C and D should be complete but we don't know whom should complete in each section!!!!
I have already applied visit visa 600 for my wife but it been around 2 months there is no response from DIBP. Now I have changed my mind. Can I apply for 485 subsequent visas along with visit visa or I have to withdraw visit visa application first.

Can someone explain me about that?

    Thanks so much!!

    Hi Mark,

I am planning to apply for Queensland state nomination under postgraduate alumni scheme. I was going through the document checklist and saw proof of residency. The problem is, from last two years I am doing house stay with a family. So i do not have any lease documents or utility bills on my name. Could you please suggest what other documents I can show as a proof of residency? I don not have QLD driving licence also but I have bank statements.

I have been living in Brisbane from June, 2015 to till now. Do I need to show residency proof in QLD for previous years or just for the time when applying for state nomination?

    Thank you for your time,

    Best Regards

    Hi Mark,

My wife has applied for 309 visa and is currently with me on 600 visa.

I am trying to find out whether anyone who has recently applied for 309 visa (but has not been granted 309 visa yet) was able to enrol successfully in Medicare.

Though I have read cases wherein people who applied for 820 visa were able to enrol successfully in Medicare, I could not find clearly the similar cases for 309 visa.

    Do you have any idea?

    Thanks in advance.

Hi Mark, since I started thinking about moving to Australia permanently, I have been reading this forum and found it very useful. I especially appreciate you taking the time to give advice and share your expertise and professional knowledge on migration matters in this platform. It is very kind of you!
I have a question regarding declaration of police record. I have a police record over 10 years ago when I was studying in Australia. No jail time, but fined.
I will be absolutely honest on my visa application, but just wondering if this black history of mine will be a deal breaker? Thanks in advance for your time!

    Hi Mark,

    I hope you are well.

I've come across this forum and it seems absolutely amazing with so much information.

You seem to be very active here and I'm very impressed with how generous you are in answering peoples' complicated questions.

I was wondering if you could perhaps give me some advice?

I am a doctor and am awaiting my medical registration (AHPRA) which I should receive in a week or so hopefully at which time I can finalise my 457 application. I'm told the application only takes 24-72 hours when they have my documents.

I was thinking of flying over on an holiday ETA and waiting for my visa to come through to start work.

Can you advise whether this is allowed? Is it practically dangerous flying in without a return ticket and with many bags with all my possessions and important documents?

Your advice would be much appreciated.

    Best,

    Alex

    Hi Mark,
we need some help My son goes to primary school here in NSW and is on a Student visa. I'm his guardian so on a guardian Visa. My husband however has a 12 Month 600 Visitor Visa and has been in the country for the last 12 month. we don't see another option but for him to go back. How long will he need to be offshore before he can apply for another visitor visa? possibly only a 3 month visa if that makes it easier.
we would appreciate your help!!! Thank you
