Thanks so much, great advice and its really appreciated. I found the genuine visa criteria on your very own website actually - was the first one that came up on the search! I might have another question later, but will discuss with the fella for now! Thanks again

    Hi Rafiki -

Thanks for the note. The house ownership, employment and successful migration record for Europe are all things that could work in his favour in another application. Would suggest you lodge after you lodge a PMV, so they can see the PMV on the books. You might google the "Genuine Visitor" criteria for DIBP in Australia and consider writing a letter with the next visitor visa application noting how he meets the various policy criteria listed there.

    Hope this helps -

    Best,

    Mark Northam

    Hi Mark
I have been with my Tanzanian fiance since 2005 (we met in1997), engaged in 2012. In 2010 a TV app was rejected on basis of not enough $. Since then, I have lived in Tanzania twice, one year with my partner and the second year separately (due to work). My partner owns a house/land, is self employed, and has little money banked. He recently spent 3 sponsored months in Europe. I have a permanent gov manager job in Aus, & mortgage.

We have been told that you can apply for both PMV and TV at the same time declaring all about our relationship and that supplying lots of supporting info for the TV helps.

    1. Do you know of other tanzanias who have successfully lodged both at the same time?
    2. will the fact that he went to Europe assist?

I appreciate I am asking for advice you cant give, and I have seen an agent (useless), just a bit lost on which way!
    Thanks Mark...
