Thanks for responding so quickly. I spoke with the Washington Office and just thought I would pass along this info. I was told that our daughter, because she was an Australian citizen, would not be required to complete the medicals. It does seem like there are conflicting stories out there, but this is what I was told. I hope it's helpful. Thanks again for being so active on this site!
Thanks for all of your help on this website! I have a question and I thought that you might be able to answer it. I am an American and have applied offshore for residency. I have completed my medicals and submitted them. My husband is an Australian citizen by birth and our daughter a citizen by descent. We all live in the US. Do they need to get medicals for this process? They haven't been requested, but I just want to have a jump start on that process if they do in fact need them. Thanks for your help!
Well I try to be helpful with the things I am confident about, but am also new to this stuff so am wary of being too helpful, lol.
We haven't even got hubby's app in yet! He was here visiting for three months and left 1 month ago. We didn't do too much with the visa app while he was here as just wanted to spend quality time together. But since he left I've been getting everything organised. Don't want to rush and miss anything but aiming to get it in by the end of this month. And then the waiting begins!
I was wondering how you had so much time to spend on here! Although it is easy to get addicted - am always on the lookout for another scrap of advice that might help our case!
All the best to you too, I'm sure you'll continue to see me around this forum, probably liking lots of your posts along the way
Just wanted to say hi and thank you for your dedication to this forum - I don't know how you do it, but you must be a very patient soul. Although I guess you have to be when dealing with Immigration
Wish you all the best with you and your hubby's visa.
I just read your post and wanted to wish you also the best of luck.
I wanted to introduce myself officially... my real name is Nicki and I'm British. I used an alias as I heard that immigration sometimes read through these forums and I didn't want to be misquoted on anything... paranoid I know.
Anyway, lets keep in touch and if I hear anything about my visa I'll drop you a line and vice versa if you like.
