Sarah, I'd be glad to help you. There are threads here from applicants filing a PMV300 from the U.S. I do suggest you read them as procedures in Manila are slightly different. Reminders:1. Make sure that you download current 40SP/47SP forms. The DIAC updates forms in April, July and November; therefore these forms are due for modification. 2. Do start retrieving necessary documents so that if any need requesting then you can save time. 3. Statutory declarations from 2 Australian citizens, preferably non-relatives, should not be older than 6 weeks at the time of lodgement. 4. Read a very helpful blog, immigrationptyltd.wordpress.com. Waiting is truly tormenting. I am trying my darndest to keep my sanity as I have yet to receive any news myself ever since I lodged my PMV300 last September 25.
You are not alone...
The entire exercise does seem daunting at first, but as you complete the requirements, you will realize that it isn't as difficult.
1. READ Forms 40SP and 47SP.
2. READ the Partner Migration Booklet.
3. The DIAC website (Aus Visa Timelines) suggests:
• Submit a complete application and include all supporting documents. This is the single most important factor in allowing us to make a quick decision.
• Provide an e-mail address. This enables us to communicate with you quickly and efficiently.
• It may speed up processing if we can communicate with a third party (such as the sponsor) directly regarding your visa application.
I am not an expert. The only advantage I have over you is that I have gone through the PMV300 application myself and I can give you my 2 cents' worth on things. Feel free to ask me a question in private, or to pose a question to the forum anytime you need help.
