    Hello all.

My name is Stephen and I am posting this message in behalf my same sex partner.
I am an Australian citizen and Shane is Mauritian. We are confused about which way to go with visas as we have been told of different ways. We have been together for six years now. Should we go with a tourist visa, then a partner visa then a prospective marriage visa ?

My partner came here in 2014 for three months (his mother came with him but only stayed a month). He had an extra month granted due to my father passing away while he was here. I have been to Mauritius twice now, 2017 and this year. We have registered our relationship with Births Deaths and Marriages as a De-Facto couple and we became engaged in September of this year.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Regards.
