    Hi TurtleCouple,
Woukd you believe I just found this message, 8 months after you sent it. I didn't even think to look at the private messages. Good news, my wife's visa just got approved in GuangZhou and it took just 4 1/2 months. Found out yesterday, we are over the moon. We still have a few things to get into order before she can come here, but the big hurdle has been jumped so the pressure is off. Once again, sorry I didn't see your message earlier, it would have been good to have some support over the last few months.

    Take Care

    David

Hi Mate. Just wanted to give you a bit of a heads up on our (My wifes) application. We applied in Guangzhou...but if we were to do it all over, we would apply for a visit visa to Australia then apply for the partner visa while she was in Australia. It has been 3 months since we have been together and it is extremely painful to be apart without knowing when the 309 is to be approved. The other option is to apply in Shanghai because they seem to approve faster than Guangzhou. Worst part is they took her Passport so we can't arrange a visit visa now. Our case officer was on his first day with our application. I am beginning to think we should have got pregnant as it seems to speed up applications too...haha. Joking If you want to know any other things, feel free to drop me a line. Cheers, Paul.
