Actually I'm going to apply for immig. Under subclass 175 as a civil engineer. I found some difficulties to get the required score in IELTS Exam "6 in each module". I want to know the possibility to change the subclass 176. And I ask 176 requirs IELTS also or not? Actually I don't know how to improve my reading and writing skills. That's why I look for different way to submit the application. Please advise me what I should do?
Thanks a lot.

Hi, I'm sorry about your IELTS results, but the problem is that for skilled migration you must meet the minimum English language requirement.

If you have a score of at least 6 in each section, that is considered competent English. Anything less disqualifies you for the visa.

I know of one visa that only requires a score of 5 in each component of the IELTS, and that's the 457 visa, but I have no idea if you are eligible for that visa:

Skilled Workers Temporary Visa Options - Employer Sponsored Workers - Workers - Visas & Immigration
There are some changes to the English language proficiency requirements for Subclass 457 visa which came into effect on 14 September 2009.

All primary Subclass 457 visa applicants who are sponsored by a Standard Business Sponsor must demonstrate that they have English language proficiency that is equivalent to an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test score of at least 5 in each of the four test components of speaking, reading, writing and listening. Prior to 14 September 2009, applicants required an average test score of at least 5 across the four test components.
