Is it necessary for spouse to provide IELTS scores?

I am planning to apply for Australian immigration. I shall be the principal applicant. so is it necessary that my spouse take the IELTS test too.

She is masters in Computer Sciences and has no work experience.

Does Spouse IELTS test score necessary or If it improves the qualification scores for spouse then she can take test but it will take some time.
