Planning on getting out to Australia one day!

Hey everyone. My name is Adam Ricard. Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. Currently living in San Diego, California, USA and working in the United States Navy. I've had the pleasure of meeting Sailors in the Australian Navy as well as many Australian tourists throughout my travels in the States and Australia has always interested me. I have another two years left in the Navy and upon getting out i will be 23 years old with a lot left to experience. I'm still not sure what I want to do with my life but i know where I want to go and i know i'd like to come to Australia for at least a year. At the risk of sounding like a dork i've watched alot of the Discovery channel and im truly fascinated by the landscape, the wildlife, the scenery. Those are all some of the things i'd like to see as well as i've found that the Australian people ive met have always been kind, fun, and very outgoing. Im looking forward to learning more about Australia as I finish my time in the Navy so I can make an educated decision on where I would like to go, where I could find work, and where I can go to school. Thanks all!!

i would also add that my job experience aside from working in bars/resturaunts include my work in the Navy as a mechanic working on forklifts and various tractors. Everything from Hydraulic systems to Electrical systems. Also being qualified to operate various types of forklifts ranging from 4 thousand pounds to a 20 thousand pound max load capacity. After getting out of the Navy I will be acquiring my pilots license as well before making the transition.
