Hello from Vancouver applying for PMV through Ottawa for Australia

Just thought I would say hi to the forum community!

I applied for a PMV (subclass 300) on Nov 19 2014 online through the Immi Account being processed through Ottawa. I must admit I like handling paperwork electronically. What I don't like is the zero feedback from Immigration. You're not sure if you are doing things right!

It's been 5 and a half months now and I decided to join this forum for support as I know other people are going through the same thing. I miss my fiance who is living in Melbourne and he can't wait for me to join him permanently as well. Long distance relationships are challenging!

I just wanted to say to everyone who is going through the same thing that you are not alone and lets support each other through this trying process by sharing thoughts and procedural advice. I wish good luck to everyone.

Cheers, P

Hi there,

Thank you for sharing. This is definitely a great forum for sharing our experiences and providing inspiration.

We applied in January this year for a PMV through Ottawa. We haven't heard anything yet but we are taking that as good news as we believe we have provided everything required. I too am missing my fiance like crazy. It's really tough being apart but we just take each day by day with the hope that we will be together again soon.

Good luck to you.

***Hello there! I know how you feel. I've been there, done that. My husband and I kept a long distance relationship for 8 years before I eventually moved here in Australia. It can be really difficult but hang in there because the rewards will be worth it You will only receive initial acknowledgement after lodging. After getting that you will not get any communication at all unless they needed more information or require you to submit more documents. You should be happy then because it means your documents are enough for them to make a decision. Its really just a matter of waiting. Don't stress too much and just forget about it. Before you know it your approval will be emailed to you. You are from a low risk country anyway so it wont be long Good Luck hun. We are in Melbourne too. Cool!

Hi there,

I applied online June 19, 2015 Police Clearance and Medical were done, no other updates yet. My application will be processed in Ottawa since I am Canada resident.
Will be in Australia for Visit to spend Christmas Holiday with my hubby.

Please post your updates once you get a new info from immigration.
