Hola a todos!

Hey All,

So I stumbled upon this forum yesterday - its awesome! I will be mainly using it for immigration purposes, I am currently living and working in Argentina with my Argentina girlfriend (I am an Aust citizen) and we are looking at getting her a visa and coming to Aust in a year, year and a half.

I just wanted to say hi and a happy new year all and I will keep my questions for the immigration sub forum

Hello there! My name is Amy and I am from Mexico. Its a lot of work to gather together all the evidence, statments, certifications. It took us around 3 months. I submitted my application 3 weeks ago in Ottawa, Canada. I am waiting for the response. My partner is Australian as well. If you need any help this forum is great. When are you planning to apply!? Good luck

Hi Amy, not for a while, I work for a multinational (transferred with the Company from Aust) and am here till atleast May next year. Possibly longer. Most likely we will look to submit towards the end of this year (ie Novemberish) at the earliest!

Thanks Amy, my girlfriend and I have been together for about a year but have also spent about 4 months apart while she prepared for and waited for tourist visas to Canada and Australia respectively, and I understand how difficult it is being apart, good luck with your application, hopefully you get some good news soon!

Hi Aussieinarg! I would suggest you put in your application as quickly as possible (you have to do it all through Brasilia) as they take REALLY long to process, I'm going through this at the moment if you need any help let me know, but would suggest you do it as soon as you can!!!
