PMV or Spouse Visa from Austria,Bosnia and Herzegovina,Kosovo,Slovakia,Slovenia

Hi everyone,
I joined this forum recently and I would appreciate anyone who are currently or have in the past submitted a PMV or spouse visa from the countries whose Australian Embassy is in Austria Vienna Office.

I'm from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and my fiance he is Bosnian with permanent residency in Australia. We applied for prospective marriage visa at the Australian Embassy in Austria (Vienna Office).
We included in our application everything they required, and got email from CO in Oct ''Your application is well documented. There are no other documents requested in support of your application at this stage.''. I'm so impatient, 23 Feb 2012 will be six months since we applied for visa.
I'm waiting and hoping to hear good news from embassy soon. Fingers crossed.

Here is our timeline

Date of application: Received at the Vienna office 19/08/2011
Nationality: Bosnian
Visa type: Prospective Marriage (Subclass 300)
Offshore/onshore: Offshore
Medicals submitted (yes/no): Yes, submitted 24/10/2011
Police check submitted (yes/no): Yes, with application
Date CO assigned: 23/08/2011
Date visa granted: Not yet

I would like to receive any feedback or experience from anyone who has dealt with applying a visa at Vienna Office.

Thank you and good luck everyone.

They are probably doing background checks and these take time. Be patient.

I am also an Australian citizen and my partner is Bosnian (currently living in Europe). We are putting our PMV application together. I am getting mixed messages with regards to Health checks. Does he need to have a health check prior to applying? I have read some people wait until their CO request this? Have you supplied this?

and was there any extra info you added to the application?

any help is greatly appreciated, hoping to get this right first time

Hi guys

my fiancee is about to submit a PMV application but we are a little bit concerned if we are missing any documents. we have submitted photos, income, testimonies written by 2 australian citizens, NOIM, evidence of conversations on skype...

just wondering if anyone would be able to tell me if we are missing something or what have others submitted.

also the time frame it took others to get their visa from submission would be great.

thanks in advance

hi fukaratz,

have you looked on the immigration website for the pmv checklist? Also the Australian Embassy in Austria website? they would have more details.

don't forget Bosnian police clearance, as well as proof of citizenship, proof of address, verified copy of passports, etc. when we submitted ours we also included statutory declarations by not only Australian citizens, but bosnian citizens too (family stating that we have met etc). if youve travelled anywhere together evidence of this (tickets, hotels etc) ..
basically we looked at it like we needed to submit evidence to verify what we stated in the forms was true and correct. as I said before also, the checklist helps a lot!!

we are still waiting for ours!
good luck!!

thanks kikstaa

im also an australia citizen but my fiancee is bosnian.

we have submitted our PMV and now have to submit form 26 along with a medical exam. some of the questions on this form are a little funny like

6. occupation/activity in OZ
- can she put down her occupation here since she plans to work once we get married and she obtains a permenant visa, or does she leave this out as she will not be allowed to work while on a PMV?

8. how long do u intend to stay in oz?
-PMV is a 9 month visa so do we put that down not sure

13 (F) what is a non migrating applicant . is someone coming over on a PMV a non migrating applicant.

thank you in advance

Hi fukaratz,
I've just had a look at form 26 and we didn't fill this out (maybe it is now a requirement??? as when we lodged it it wasn't) ... Contact the embassy and find out just incase.
We lodged our application first and then had Medical exam as you need an application number to get the medical done.
