Hi. 300 Visa from Philippines

Hello

We are doing the Prospective Marriage visa (subclass 300) from the Philippines.

We have been living together for 11 months, and spent 3 months of that in Australia together on a Tourist Visa.

We applied for the 300 Visa in June, and are now waiting.

How fast has anyone done this before ?

Your PMV only took 4 months ? Anything special about your application ?

If ours is that fast, we will be in Australia on a Visitor Visa by then But I am expecting about April or May.. 10 months or so.

**** It was not even 4 months, a few days short before that. It sure came as a huge surprise because we were in for the long wait. I processed it in the Philippines using a migration agent. It was a bit pricey but it was all worth it in the end.

I am considering the options on that.

I did ask immigration when I applied for the Visitor Visa, what I could do about marrying early and switching over. But they never answered that bit, just gave her the Visa

We will be in Aus in a weeks time. The Visa was granted just 6 days ago.

I would love the chance to change something so that she doesn't have to leave and then come back at some stage.

But I am not sure that is possible.
