partner visa and court fines

hi all new here,
Need some advise as we will be completing a PR visa soon and have just read a section about having outstanding government fines, such as centrelink and court fines.
Now my problem is I have court fines which I'm paying off in regular payments.... does this mean I cannot apply the visa?
Thanks in advance

Sure you can apply. If you reached an agreement with the court to pay your debt in installments, and if you are making the payments as per agreement, that should not be a problem. Just don't forget to mention on your visa application that you have court fines. It should have a question about it under the character section of your visa application.
hope that helps
