Health examination

Could you please give me my question about health examination?

I am waiting for spouse visa for Australia and my case officer ask me for recheck for my chest, they found scar on my x-ray film so must undergone for TB culture test. This processing was taken 10 weeks so I would like to know how much people had test like me? And how how I can get visa if the result is not positive?

Thanks

Hi Dia,

I am an Indian expatriate from Dubai moving to Adelaide. Our medical was quick and took about a month. I have hereditary asthama but that did not seem to be of any issue with the Aussie doctor who did the examination.

Good luck for yours. They tend to be a little more suspicious and careful of candidates from Asian countries since TB is very prevalent there

Cheers,
Adkutz

Hi Adkutz,

Thanks for your kindly information. I know Australian Government very seriously for TB but I don't know why we must wait for the result in a several months I read information from IOM center in Thailand, the people who would like to stay at UK took only 3 days for proved TB is active or non-active. Btw, I submitted application form on Oct' 11 in Thailand. Now we're waiting for getting spouse visa at least 6 months if we are not have any problem.

Did you get visa already?

Have a great day,
Dia

Hi Dia,

Yes we have got the visa. It is a temporary 3-year visa. Need to find work within those 3 years. Heading to Adelaide for making our first port of entry for two weeks. Fingers crossed and hoping for the best.

Am not sure about why you have to wait that long. Have no prior experience. Maybe someone else can reply to your query. Try posting it in the general thread section and see if you can find some answers.

All the best.

Adkutz
