Users Flag! From mauritius

hello to all,

ive decided to join this forum as ive found very helpful tips from all the post and the members seems to be very friendly..

im from mauritius and will apply under the general skilled sheme but not yet submitted the application visa yet..

I now have to gather evidence for adding my partner as defacto partner in my application and we are a same sex couple.

ive noted that the 12month living together may be waived if "cohabitation was not permissible under the law of the country where you resided for the 12 months before you applied''

What does that exactly mean?? here in mtius same sex cohabitation is not recognised at all ie like in some states in australia where you can register as a couple , nor there is any law which will prevent me from living in the same house as my partner...

Can you please clarify ? then maybe if that is the case here , i may not have to go through the hassle of gathereing all the evidences...

hope to hear from you soon,
