tourist visa to Australia

Hi all,
:)I ve been married to an Aus citizen for almost 2 years. We have been living in India until May this year.My hubby has gone back to Oz and I would like to join him and see Australia. I was wondering if I can apply for a 6 month tourist visa if I have sufficient funds and a job to come back to. What are my chances? We are considering migration but I would first like to see/experience the country.
I can get invitation letters from friends and his father in law who would like to meet me since they could'nt make it to our wedding in India.
Please advise!
