Hi I've just signed up as a member because I am wanting to see other peoples experience on getting a partner visa for their spouse usually works. My case is a little different because my husband of 1 year and 8 months has been in Australia for around 7 years on other 457 visas. we originally applied for a partner visa six months after we were married, we filled in all the checks and were told by our migration guys a few months ago to do the final medicals and send in proof of a continuing relationship, which we have done. Only problem now is that my husbands job finished and he recently got a new 457 visa sponsor which was great, but he now finds he is not able to work for them due to not being able to obtain the Australian job registration qualifications that he requires to work there. therefore we are now desperately waiting for the partner visa to be granted so that he doesn't have to either leave the country or become unlawful. I know our migration guys are handling it, but it is very stressful just the same.
thanks for listening,

So you applied for the partner visa 14 months ago? If I read that correctly it must be on the verge of a decision, hopefully a good one.
