Greetings from the USA

Hi Im Ebonistarr, I'm living in the US now while our defacto partner visa is being considered. My Partner is in Tassie and we both have lived together there for 12 months and together in the US for a month. I work and so does he. We are seeing each other again in October in the flesh and hope to have me home again by Christmas. Waves hello to everyone. I have been reading the posts for quite a while and they have helped alot. Thank you for everyones advice. We felt alone for so long and finally my partner found this site. We didnt feel so alone after that.

Thank you Ebonistarr

Hey, I'm about to lodge my partner visa next week in the USA too. Be good to keep in touch and hear how your case is progressing.

No worries, Both me and my Partner will be happy to keep all updated.. But just a word ..even when you think you have the paperwork done.. Go over it again ..and again .. and once again.. We forgot a couple of things.. and dont forget the form 80. We were told by the Australian Immigration we spoke too that they require it in 99.9% of the cases. We front loaded our medical and our Police Checks and sent it in decision ready.. with that on the file. Idk if it has helped as we have heard nothing. and that is how they keep you feeling ..eeek. lol. Good luck

Just sent our partner visa app to Washington DC. Medical and a few police checks are still outstanding. Let the patience game begin.
