Hi to all on the forum

Hi to all on the forum. It is a great site for sharing info, it has already been quite a bit of help in getting an idea of how to navigate the maze of paperwork that is the 309 offshore visa application process and to get some idea of what to expect. Just posted off 5.8 pounds of documentation and evidence on the 26th of October 2012. No case officer yet but they did take the money out on the same day as the application arrived in DC so I see that as a good sign that they have at least looked at it . Hoping that they can fast track the application as Australian husband is in the States on a visa waiver and has to go back to Oz in two and a half months.

I know how you feel. We got notification yesterday and a case officer at the same time. My husband called the Canadian phone line that handles the US, they said they would ring Washington on our behalf, because you can't call Washington and talk to them directly. I think it helps sometimes to remind them that you are waiting for them to sort it out. They acknowledged our application a couple of days after that.
